New Miss California
titleholder Tami Farrell shares her predecessor Carrie
Prejean's stance on same-sex marriage. In a television
interview Thursday, Farrell stated that she is not a supporter
of marriage equality, but she added, "I don't
think I have the right or anybody has the right to tell
somebody who they can or can't love."
When asked by Miss USA
judge Perez Hilton in April whether she believes same-sex
marriage should be legal in every U.S. state, Prejean responded
"I do believe that marriage should be between a man and a
woman, no offense to anybody out there." Prejean, who
recently lost her title due to contract disputes, believes she
was ousted for speaking out against marriage
equality.
