A new poll from Pangea
Media shows that 75% of teens and tweens (youths between the
ages of 9 and 12) support marriage equality, although 79% of
respondents said they were unaware of President Barack Obama's
position on same-sex marriage.

Media shows that 75% of teens and tweens (youths between the
ages of 9 and 12) support marriage equality, although 79% of
respondents said they were unaware of President Barack Obama's
position on same-sex marriage.
The poll tracked the
gay rights attitudes and preferences of more than 3,400 young
users of Pangea, an online quiz company. Eighty-three
percent of respondents identified themselves as
straight, 11% called themselves gay, and 6% said they were not
sure of their sexual orientation.
Some other
findings:
- 55% of
respondents said being gay is something people choose, compared
with 26% who said that people are born gay.
- 57% said
that they believe gay people are victims of discrimination.
- 62% said they would
not feel uncomfortable around a same-gender friend who revealed
they were gay, compared to 25% who said they would feel
strange.
- 78% said that gay
students should be allowed to bring a date to the prom.
