Shepard Foundation Won't Take Perez's Money

In response to a statement this morning from blogger Perez Hilton promising any money he received from the lawsuit he filed against the Black Eyed Peas' manager who allegedly punched him, the Matthew Shepard Foundation thanked Hilton for the offer but said it couldn't accept the donation.

"We do not know the details of the lawsuit, whether it has been filed, the nature of his claims or the likely outcome," a statement from Judy Shepard reads. "But because the lawsuit presumably involves the physical attack prompted by Mr. Hilton's admitted use of an anti-gay slur, the Foundation will be unable to accept any funds obtained in such a manner."

Perez Hilton is a disgrace to the gay community. I am glad they turned him down. I wish people would not support him in any way! Then he might just go away.

Thankyou Judy Shepard for not accepting. P Hilton said the word that is such a force to belittle gay or perceived gay kids in school. If it comes out that what Hilton says is true, I just will not buy BEPs music.. but I always thought Fergie was accepting. Hilton has every right to say what he thinks about the BEPs music...Whatever happened, Hilton went too far by calling someone a Faggot!

Like him or love him, everyone knows what Perez Hilton is about, no one should be surprised by any of his antics. By the way - the black eye peas are a bunch of douchebags if they can't take criticism. You all have the choice to tune Perez Hilton out, yet you continue with the hateful comments; giving him way more attention than you all say he deserves. You are all feeding his fire and he is loving it. So as much as you all say you hate him, you are actually the reason he stays in the press. by the way - the "so and so's 15 minutes are almost up" cliche is really tired.

By donating his lawsuit money to a piece of legislation based on hate crimes, is Twat-face Perez saying he was the victim of a hate crime? I think not, Perez, you got creamed in the face for something you had the choice in doing. The hate crimes act is not meant for that.
