Inside Clive Barker

Inside Clive Barker

Clive Barker is perhaps best known for the Hellraiser and Candyman book and film series. He came to prominence with his writing in the '80s, and eventually moved into producing and directing his own films. He has been out as a gay man since the early '90s, and his writing often connects the dark world of horror to the erotic. Barker has said that he keeps a brush and ink next to his bed to capture fragments of dreams and that his stories originate as visuals first.

Imaginer is the first comprehensive volume of Barker's artwork. Featuring over 75 pieces and 208 pages, the book is a 10-by-13-inch format, and made up entirely of new work.

For Clive Barker fans, to be able to see the beginnings of his inspirations will be a page-turning treat.
