Showtime to receive Governors' Award for diversity

Showtime will receive the 2001 Governors' Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences on Saturday, September 8. The award will recognize the network's commitment to diversity with such inclusive programming as Queer as Folk, Resurrection Blvd., and Soul Food. NATAS presents the Governors' Award each year to honor the achievements of an individual or organization that has had a significant impact on the television industry and the community.
