OutCharlotte Cultural Festival kicks off

The 2001 OutCharlotte Cultural Festival, in Charlotte, N.C., launches Wednesday, October 3, and will feature seven days of performance art presentations, comedy routines, book readings, films, workshops, exhibitions, and other community events. Highlights include appearances by the ADODI Muse: A Gay Negro Ensemble, transsexual performance artist David Harrison, comedians Karen Ripley and Bob Smith, and screenings of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
