Lesbian films charm audiences at South by Southwest

Winners of the South by Southwest Film Conference and Festival in Austin were announced Tuesday, with two lesbian films taking home audience awards. Lisa Udelson's Lifetime Guarantee: Phranc's Adventures in Plastic, about Jewish lesbian folksinger Phranc and her booming trade as a Tupperware Lady, won the audience award for documentary first film, while Harry Dodge's By Hook or by Crook, a butch noir road-trip comedy-drama, won in the narrative category.
