Tony Kushner wins Obie award

Variety reports that out author Tony Kushner received a playwriting trophy at the 47th annual Village Voice Obie awards Monday night for his new play Homebody/Kabul. Also winning in this category was Melissa James Gibson for her play [sic]. (The Obies, which honor achievements in off- and off-off-Broadway theater, do not select single winners in each category.)
