George Clooney snaps up John Saul's latest novel

George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh's film production company, Section 8, has optioned Midnight Voices, the latest best-selling thriller from out author John Saul. According to Daily Variety, Clooney and Soderbergh will produce the film version of Voices. Saul, who was profiled in the August 28, 2001, issue of The Advocate, is also working on other high-profile projects, including film adaptations of his earlier titles The Manhattan Hunt Club and The Right Hand of Evil as well as what Variety describes as "a couple of TV shows based on original ideas."
