Six Feet Under snags five Emmys in early round of awards

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented its Creative Arts Awards on Saturday, a prelude to the main Emmy broadcast on Sunday, September 22. Six Feet Under, the acclaimed HBO drama series created by out Oscar-winner Alan Ball, picked up five awards, including Guest Actress in a Drama Series (Patricia Clarkson), Casting for a Drama Series, Main Title Design, Makeup for a Series (Prosthetic), and Main Title Theme Music. The heavily gay-inclusive HBO series Sex and the City won two awards, Casting for a Comedy Series and Costumes for a Series.
