Darren Star to be honored at Austin Film Festival

The Dallas Morning News reports that openly gay Sex and the City and Melrose Place creator Darren Star will receive the Outstanding TV Writers Award at October's Austin Film Festival and Heart of Film Screenwriters Conference. Also honored will be Richard LaGravenese (Living Out Loud, Beloved, The Mirror Has Two Faces), with the Distinguished Screenwriters Award.
