Darren Star to re-throw The Party with Priscilla Presley

Out TV mogul Darren Star (Sex and the City, Melrose Place) and Priscilla Presley will team up to produce a remake of the 1968 Peter Sellers-Blake Edwards comedy The Party, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Star is looking to make the film his feature directorial debut. The original starred Sellers as an Indian film extra who is invited to a posh Hollywood party by mistake and accidentally creates chaos wherever he goes. No writer has yet been attached to the remake.
