Jon Robin Baitz to write teleplay about Edward R. Murrow

Variety reports that out playwright Jon Robin Baitz (The Substance of Fire) will write a teleplay about veteran journalist Edward R. Murrow for Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney's Section Eight production company. Clooney will direct the Baitz script, which will be performed live on television. The actor-director's earlier experiences with live TV drama include an episode of ER and a remake of Fail-Safe made for CBS in 2000.
