Cinematographers nominate 'Brokeback Mountain'

Brokeback Mountain continued its awards-season momentum Wednesday with the announcement of the American Society of Cinematographers' ASC Awards nominations. Rodrigo Prieto made the short list, along with Wally Pfister (Batman Begins), Robert Elswit (Good Night, and Good Luck), Andrew Lesnie (King Kong), and Dion Beebe (Memoirs of a Geisha). The winner will be named at the ASC awards gala on February 26 in Los Angeles. Prieto was previously nominated for Frida in 2003. (Advocate.com)
