lead nominees for People's Choice Awards
The nominations for the 33rd annual People's Choice Awards were announced Tuesday by Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, and Isaiah Washington at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Internet research firm Knowledge Networks called on pop culture fans to assist in determining the nominees. Fans can now vote for their favorites online at www.pcavote.com.
Ellen DeGeneres is up against Jay Leno and Oprah Winfrey in the Best Talk Show Host category. She is also competing with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Queen Latifa for Funny Female Star.
The show will be broadcast January 9. (The Advocate)
