Torchwood star and Desperate Housewives guest star John Barrowman says that a new American version of the British sci-fi show could be on the way.
Barrowman talked about the future of his “omni-sexual super hero” in an interview with Access Hollywood.
“I know that there’s discussions happening right now with some American networks,” said Barrowman. “That’s all I know. Julie Gardner and Russell T. Davies (the executive producers), have said there will be no Torchwood without John Barrowman, without Captain Jack. So I’ll be there and I’m just waiting to hear like everybody else,’ he added.”
The actor also credited his work in BBC America’s Torchwood for helping him land his current role guest starring on ABC’s Desperate Housewives.
“It was on BBC America here and it did really really well,” said Barrowman. “Marc (Cherry) was a fan and he contacted me and that’s how it all came about.”
