10. TV: Entourage
The eighth and final season of Entourage premieres July 24 on HBO, which means the beginning of the end for out actor Rex Lee (pictured, right) as assistant-turned-agent Lloyd, who injected some much-needed gay energy to the hyper-hetero comedy about Hollywood wheeling and dealing. But an Entourage film is in the works, and Lee will appear this fall as Mr. Wolf, a high school guidance counselor, in ABC's Suburgatory.
9. THEATER: No Fats, No Femmes: Tales of Dialing-Up, Coming Out & Getting Off
After his successful solo debut this past spring, gay writer-performer Tim Paul returns to Chicago's Annoyance Theatre to clear his Internet history with a new one-man show opening July 24. With a Kleenex box at the ready, the raconteur explores his online etiquette and shortcomings as he shares anecdotes about his sordid experiences cruising sites such as Craigslist, Manhunt, and Bear411. For tickets visit TheAnnoyance.com.
8. FILM: The Myth of the American Sleepover
Like American Graffiti as reimagined by Gus Van Sant, David Robert Mitchell's impressive feature debut -- premiering July 22 in New York and July 29 in L.A. -- follows a group of lost and lovesick teens on the last night of summer in suburban Detroit. A standout in a cast of terrific unknowns, Wyatt McCallum (pictured, right) costars as Marcus, a closeted gay teen who's in love with his handsome best friend.
7. THEATER: Hair
The Tony-winning revival of Hair, which lets the sun shine on a polyamorous tribe of Vietnam-era bohemians, is back on Broadway. Following the July 25 performance, several same-sex couples from the Broadway community will marry onstage at the St. James Theatre. Also in celebration of New York marriage equality, Hair cast members will perform July 24 at a "be-in" to benefit Broadway Impact at Rockwood Music Hall.
6. MUSIC: House of Rufus
The most complete collection of Rufus Wainwright recordings to date, this 19-disc boxed set -- available as a U.K. import from RufusWainwright.com -- includes all six studio albums, concert recordings, soundtrack contributions, unreleased tracks, rarities, collaborations, demos, and six DVDs, plus a 90-page hardcover book of interviews, rare photos, hand-drawn tour posters, handwritten lyrics, art prints, sleeve notes, and more.
5. TV: Project Runway
The fashion design competition returns for a ninth season July 28 on Lifetime with judge Michael Kors and mentor Tim Gunn back as gay favorites. Out of the 20 contestants, we've already picked out the front-runners from their bios: Could Lady Gaga-obsessed Bryce Black, Louisiana cutie Anthony Ryan Auld, or awesomely named 21-year-old Gunnar Deatherage (pictured) make it work and become the next Christian Siriano?
4. FILM: Eating Out: Drama Camp
Currently on the festival circuit -- it screens this week at NewFest in New York City -- Q. Allan Brocka's fourth installment of the Eating Out series makes its TV debut June 25 on Logo after a marathon of the first three flicks. Steven Daigle, Ronnie Kroell, and trans Gun Hill Road star Harmony Santana join vets Chris Salvatore and Daniel Skelton (homepage image), but Drew Droege (pictured) steals the film as the irritable proprietor of Dick Dickey's Drama Camp.
3. FILM: Friends With Benefits
Out July 22, Will Gluck's likable romantic comedy -- which makes itself look better by making fun of other rom-coms -- stars Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis as recently dumped damaged goods who try striking up a sexual relationship with no strings attached. Woody Harrelson costars as one of JT's flirtatious colleagues, a horny gay GQ sports editor who enjoys basketball, boating, and ogling male models at photo shoots.
2. TV: The A-List: New York
Perhaps the gayest guiltiest pleasure on television, Logo's controversial reality show about grating gay Manhattanites returns July 25 for a second season of self-important shenanigans. Reichen Lehmkuhl's racy photo scandal! Austin Armacost's Playgirl shoot! Mike Ruiz's T-shirt line! Meanwhile, Nyasha Zimucha (pictured), a former Miss Africa USA who runs a hair and wig accessory company, joins the cast as the token straight girl.
1. TV: Drop Dead Diva
Josh Berman, gay creator of Lifetime's legal comedy-fantasy series, honors Constance McMillen's inspirational triumph with a powerful episode about a young lesbian couple barred from attending their high school prom. "The Prom," which airs July 24, features very special appearances by out performers Clay Aiken (pictured), Lance Bass, Amanda Bearse, and Wanda Sykes. Also look for a cameo by McMillen herself as a bailiff.
