3. BOOK: It Gets Better, Dan Savage and Terry Miller
The advice columnist-turned activist and his husband have compiled a series of expanded essays (Plume paperback, $15) from celebrities and everyday people who have posted videos as part of the landmark campaign to help end antigay bullying and teen suicide. They've also included essays from notable LGBT folks who have not made videos, including writers David Sedaris and Michael Cunningham.

2. TV: She’s Living For This
As fans of her raunchy song and video parodies know, nothing is off limits for outrageously talented drag superstar Sherry Vine. With her new here! TV series, the provocateur puts her stamp on the variety shows she was raised on as a child of the '70s. It's more Benny Hill than Carol Burnett, plus you can expect candid interviews with the host's pals like Justin Vivian Bond and even occasional full frontal male nudity from the handsome Sherry Vine Dancers.
