8. EVENT: New York Burlesque Festival
The Saturday Spectacular at BB King's in Manhattan is hosted by drag king Murray Hill (pictured in the suit above) and it includes more than 40 burlesque performers in a 1920s supper club atmosphere to start with, followed by a go-go dance party at 11 p.m. Then the annual Golden Pastie Awards, hosted this year on Sunday by Miss Astrid at the Highline Ballroom, brings out the glitz.
