5. THEATER: 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche
Audiences will get another chance to see the popular farce that won the award for Outstanding Production at this summer’s FringeNYC festival when it gets a six-week run at New York City’s SoHo Playhouse. The play has the members of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein gathering for their annual quiche breakfast in the repressed environment of 1956 and confronting the enemies of the day — Communism and the closet. Opens Saturday and runs through November 20.
