In honor of the tenth anniversary of its final episode in Britain, the BBC is speaking with creators of the iconic teen action and horror drama which furthered visibility of LGBT characters on TV.

An upcoming episode of the U.K. radio program Front Row will feature interviews with the individuals responsible for bringing Buffy the Vampire Slayer to television, reports the BBC.

Set to air in Britain and the BBC's website on December 26, the show will include discussions with creator Joss Whedon, actor Anthony Head (Buffy's mentor Giles), writers Neil Gaiman and Rhianna Pratchett, and will commemorate the tenth anniversary of the show's final episode in that country.

Buffy, which originally aired stateside on the WB and then UPN networks from 1997 to 2003, featured lesbian and gay characters throughout its run. Buffy's sidekick Willow Rosenberg (How I Met Your Mother's Alyson Hannigan) dated Tara Maclay for two seasons.

The show also continues as a comic book published by Dark Horse Comics, which has introduced a gay slayer named Billy.

Additionally, Deadline reports cable station Pivot will air reruns of Buffy beginning January 13, alongside the similarly female-centered show Veronica Mars, starring LGBT ally Kristen Bell.
