Montgomery Clift's torment over his sexual orientation helped make him more mysterious to movie audiences, says his biographer Patricia Bosworth in a new video that helps mark 46 years since the death of the great screen star.

Bosworth recalls meeting Clift when she was a child. "He was absolutely gorgeous," she says, of the actor who costarred in numerous classic films such as A Place in the Sun and Suddenly, Last Summer. "I sat and listened to Montgomery Clift talk and I was so overwhelmed by him."

After Chick-fil-A's CEO confirmed his opposition to gay rights earlier this month, the repercussions keep coming — the latest is an announcement from the Jim Henson Company that they will no longer provide toys for the chicken chain's meals.

The Jim Henson Co., which controls the popular Muppets characters, is severing ties with Chick-fil-A, specifically for Cathy's comments. The company previously provided “Jim Henson Creature Puppets” for Chick-Fil-A kids’ meals.
