The event was hosted and moderated by Bevy Smith, host of Sirius XM's "Bevelations" and insider panelist on the upcoming "Page Six TV." The awards ceremony celebrated women, who push their communities forward by being instrumental in moving the needle for LGBTQ rights in their various fields throughout the decades.

"HMI recognizes that Women, both cis and trans-, and other female-identified people in our society are often demonized or ignored, and so considers it a core principle to honor, respect and uplift those members of our community," says HMI CEO Thomas Krever. "Business leaders like Erika Karp and icons like Fern Mallis are carving the path for the generations to come, showing the power of leadership and philanthropy, opening doors where there once were walls, raising the bar where once there were glass ceilings, and building bridges where once there were chasms of ignorance, bias and fear. Our youth at HMI have remarkable true role models in Erika and Fern."
