If you need another reason to upgrade your iPhone or Macintosh operating system, here's one: The latest OS includes racially and sexuallydiverse emojis.

Families with same-sex parents are now available as emojis for Apple users' pleasure. Also available are racially diverse characters, including African-American and Latino emojis. The diversity options can be found in the latest betas of iOS 8.3 and OS X 10.10.3. Maybe we have out CEO Tim Cook to thank for this?
