The Atlanta-based
AIDS Survival Project has hired a new executive
director, Southern Voice reports. Molly A.
Casey was named new executive director by ASP's
board. She replaces Jeff Graham, who headed the agency
for 10 years and has moved into a new position as
senior director of public policy for the organization.
"I'm very
excited," Casey told the Southern Voice about
her new position. "HIV is the only disease people
assign a moral value to, and that makes it that much more
challenging to get funding and keep it on people's
radars."
Casey previously
worked for the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy
Prevention and for 15 years at the American Red Cross, where
she supervised the organization's health,
safety, and youth curriculum and helped create an AIDS
curriculum for Georgia's public schools.
