We want to commend your News Feature article, "Empowering Black Lesbians" by Jasmyne Cannick on Advocate.com dated April 21, 2005. We are a two-daddy family with a toddler daughter whom we jointly adopted at birth, so a great deal of our news feature interests tend to be connected to reading about the struggles for family, adoption and marriage equality in particular. At the same time, we love the diversity of our LGBT community, and reading about the empowerment of African American gay women was inspiring. Please keep up the important work of trying to better represent all LGBT individuals, couples and families, including people of color.� It is imperative for the The Advocate to be more inclusive of our entire queer community. We appreciate articles like these, and please do it more often. Thank you!
