WorldPride canceled due to Israel-Hezbollah conflict

Your online headline "WorldPride canceled due to Israel-Hezbollah conflict" is careless journalism. WorldPride is much more than a march (and substantively different from the 'parade' to which your article refers), and a great many courageous and committed people will still be traveling to Jerusalem for the many cultural, religious, and social events scheduled for the week of August 6-13. By equating all of WorldPride with one single event, you play right into the hand of the religious right-wing fanatics who have tried to stifle our existence by forcing the cancellation of this march. I hope you will provide full coverage of the events of the week, which will show the world that LGBT people can see beyond the blinders of religion, race, and national origin to envision a world of "Love Without Borders".
