So Margaret Somerville, Cathy Renna, et. al. are concerned that the publicity of Thomas Beatie's baby will harm the child? Are they equally concerned of all the publicity over Sury Cruise and the Branjolina children? Do they worry about the million children in this country raised in poverty, or in abusive homes, or by closeted gay men in sham marriages? Give me a break. That anyone would spend more than a brief moment of their day thinking about the father who gives birth is pathetic. Further, those "activists" who would prefer the Beaties kept quiet, share this opinion with the right wingers who would prefer gays just kept quiet already. Just be invisible, right? That strategy worked so well for gay rights in the '50s, huh?
