After reading the article "Adopting Anger" [On the Web], I am very disheartend by the comment of Florida state representative Randy Ball. He stated that he supports the Florida ban on adoption by gays and lesbians because of "evidence which conclusively shows that the homosexual lifestyle is a very destructive one." First, I would like to see the so-called evidence supporting his statement. Second, the only thing destructive about our lifestyle is the fact that we have to lie and hide who we really are to protect ourselves. The fact that this man's ignorance is potentially infecting those of others and preventing children from being placed in loving families, I call that destructive!
