I want to give
many thanks to this program for what is doing for our
troubled gay youth. When I was young, I suffered much abuse
from my family. But in Denver, there was no program
that could REALLY help. I was placed in a group home
by the courts. But I had to secretly write a letter to
the Denver GLBTQ center begging them to get some education
in my group home. I almost think the group home was
more abusive and mentally/emotionally stressful than
my family was. I was out, and my dorm mates knew it.
You can imagine the rest from there. So thanks to the
Waltham House for doing what you do to help support kids of
a new generation that, because of you, can have what I
did not. It's remarkable what some love, compassion
and understanding can build.
