You have taken a news magazine for the GLBT community
and turned it in to a mindless, inane celebrity impressed
rag. The cover picture of Hillary Clinton and the
accompanying cloying interview screamed
superficiality. I am a left-wing gay Democrat and have read
the Advocate for years. Why are you glorifying Senator
Clinton? She and her husband brought us "don't ask,
don't tell" and refuses to endorse gay marriage. She
doesn't support unions and has sat on the board of
Wal-Mart. She is supported by the Democratic Leadership
Council that gets its money from the same corporations
that support the Republicans. She refuses to say she
was wrong for voting for the Iraq war and her
health-care proposal is the same old insurance and
pharmaceutical company run rot held together with
band-aids. She supports NAFTA and free trade
responsible for the exporting of jobs and benefiting big
business. Kucinch is the only candidate that has
supported all our issues. If you want to interview a
woman, Elizabeth Edwards has endorsed same-sex
marriage even though her husband hasn't. I guess I'll save
my re-subscription money and send it to MoveOn.org.
