Will & Grace snags two guild awards

Awards season in Hollywood continues apace, and gay-themed sitcom Will & Grace has two more trophies to add to its crowded mantelpiece. The Directors Guild of America awards on Saturday honored director James Burrows in the comedy series category for the hourlong "Lows in the Eighties" episode of the show. Also honored by the DGA were Taiwanese-born filmmaker Ang Lee, for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and Thomas Schlamme, for "Noel," an episode of the dramatic TV series The West Wing. Sunday the Screen Actors Guild awarded the program for Ensemble Acting, TV Comedy. Vanessa Redgrave was named Best Actress in a TV Miniseries or Movie for her touching portrayal of an elderly lesbian in If These Walls Could Talk 2. The complete list of SAG winners:
