The Gene Pool rounds out 2000–2001 season at Unicorn
Kansas City, Mo.s Unicorn Theatre closes its 20002001 season with a production of The Gene Pool, a comedic look at the family dynamic wherein a 17-year-old boy looks at his lesbian mothers and asks, Moms, who is my dad? The moms, meanwhile, are more concerned with their sons new girlfriend and the boys determination to lose his virginity on his 18th birthday. The show promises to be a lighthearted exploration of family values with a plot stolen directly from The Donna Reed Show...had it starred Ellen DeGeneres. The Gene Pool runs through July 1. For more information, call (816) 531-PLAY, ext. 10, or visit the theater Web site, www.unicorntheatre.org.
