Sean Combs updates legendary Truman Capote party
The New York Daily News reports that rap mogul Sean Combs has taken a page from gay writer Truman Capote, whose 1966 Black & White Ball remains a legendary New York soirée. Combs will host Black & White 2002 on New Year's Eve at the Shore Club in Miami Beach. Invitations to the new party feature a photo of Combs taken by Herb Ritts and recall that the Capote party was "an event where the best and brightest would come together to celebrate the magnificence of life." A spokesperson for Combs said the original Black & White Ball was "one of the greatest parties of all time. And Puffy always strives for the best."
