<i>Pirates of the Caribbean, American Wedding</I> among winners at MTV Movie Awards (12700)

The 2004 MTV Movie Awards were handed out Sunday and will be broadcast on the network on Thursday, June 10, at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. (Check local listings.) Among the winners were Johnny Depp for his turn as a swishy swashbuckler in Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and Seann William Scott for his gay bar dance-off in American Wedding. (Not cited by MTV was actor Eric Allan Kramer, who played the gay character, "Bear," who goads Scott onto the dance floor.)
