DVD premieres of Homo Promo and Another Country on September 7

Homo Promo, filmmaker Jenni Olson's hilarious and provocative collection of gay-themed "coming attractions" trailers from the '50s to the '70s, makes its DVD debut Tuesday, September 7, from Strand Releasing Home Video. Promo features trailers from a broad variety of films, including Glen or Glenda, Victim, The Children's Hour, The Killing of Sister George, Myra Breckinridge, The Boys in the Band, and many more.

Also making its DVD premiere on September 7 is a 20th anniversary special edition DVD of Another Country, the acclaimed British film that launched the careers of Rupert Everett, Cary Elwes, and Colin Firth. A look at how repression of homosexuality in a British boarding school led to the World War II Soviet spy scandal, the film's new DVD edition features restored visuals, a commentary by director Marek Kanievska, and a discussion of the original play with Everett, Kenneth Branagh, and author Julian Mitchell.
