Will a gay man
now help to lead Congress?

Will a gay man be part of the new leadership of the Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives? Some might say yes.

After Texas Republican congressman Tom DeLay relinquished that post following a criminal indictment on Wednesday, California congressman David Dreier was tapped to help fill the void by assisting acting majority leader Roy Blunt of Missouri. Dreier has been rumored to be gay for many years and has found himself the subject of several investigative articles into his relationship with a fellow "bachelor." In an interview for Sirius/OutQ radio last year, Dreier was asked by Michelangelo Signorile if he would discuss his sexuality. Dreier, who during his two decades in Congress has repeatedly voted against gay rights, neither confirmed nor denied he is gay. (Advocate.com)
