AIDSWatch 2006, a project of the National Association of People with AIDS that includes lobbying meetings with lawmakers, will be held May 8-10 in Washington, D.C., and in congressional districts across the country. Participants at the D.C. gathering participate in training sessions before meeting with their elected officials to urge them to increase spending on domestic and global AIDS programs. Meetings also will be held across the country with congressional leaders at their home offices if they are not in Washington. The program is free. To register for the event call (866) 243-7282.
