carnival AIDS fund-raiser set for June 11 in L.A.

More than 100 celebrities will come together on June 11 at the "A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival," a Los Angeles fund-raiser for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. The celebrities will work carnival-style game booths to raise funds for the organization. Among the attractions will be the Disney/Pixar "Finding Nemo Dunk Tank" and "Cars" remote-control race track, Disney's Biddidi Bobbidi Boutique, the Paul Mitchell Hop Hop and Hair Studio, the Stride-Rite Sneaker Decorating Booth, the Nintendo DS Lite Lounge, a story time area, a giant slide, a carousel, and more. Music will be provided by Jesse McCartney, the Jonas Brothers, and Jump 5. Confirmed celebrity guests include Marcia Cross (Desperate Housewives), Shelly Morrison (Will & Grace), Michael Vartan (Alias), Shannen Doherty (Charmed), Jeff Probst (Survivor), Jimmy Kimmel (The Jimmy Kimmel Show), Brendan Fraser (Gods and Monsters), Jorge Garcia (Lost), Camryn Manheim (The Practice), Sara Gilbert (Roseanne), Richard Shiff (The West Wing), Seth Green (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Sarah Silverman (Rent), Harry Hamlin (Making Love), Michael Chiklis (The Shield), and many others. Attendees also will enjoy food provided by L'Orangerie, Mako, Campanile, Drago Ristorante, and Water Grill. The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Wadsworth Theater on the Veterans Administration Lawn in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
