AIDS Project Los Angeles's annual Summer Party fund-raiser will be held July 22 at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. The event, sponsored by radio station KBIG 104.3 FM, will include performances by Sugar Ray with Mark McGrath and Deborah Gibson. Held on Paramount's six-block New York Streets backlot, the event also will feature disco dancing, a country and western dance space, a casino, food, and bars. A VIP area, sponsored by Showtime, also will include complimentary drinks, a buffet dinner, a private dancer area and lounges, a silent auction, preferred parking, and access through Paramount's main gate. The VIP event starts at 6 p.m., general admission begins at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $50 and are available online at www.groovetickets.com. VIP tickets are $200 and available at online at www.apla.org.
