The University of
California, San Francisco, AIDS Health Project will
hold its 10th annual Art for AIDS auction August 4 in San
Francisco. As many as 500 bidders and patrons are
expected to fill the gallery at Bonhams &
Butterfields, where Art for AIDS, in addition to its
evening of silent and live auctions, will present its first
Art for AIDS Award to the San Francisco Art Institute
for its incalculable contribution to the Bay Area and
worldwide art scenes. Select pieces from this
year's auction will hang on preview at ArtHaus
Gallery, 411 Brannan St., in San Francisco, for the
entire month of July. The auction will be held from
5:30 to 9 p.m. at Bonhams & Butterfields, 220 San Bruno
Ave. Tickets for the art auction, which includes food and
cocktails, are $50 and can be purchased in advance or
