World AIDS Day
Events at the Art Institute of Chicago, November
27–December 1

The Art Institute of Chicago, in partnership with the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, will present a series of special events related to the photography exhibition "So the Story Goes" to coincide with World AIDS Day. The exhibition, on view since September, presents the work of photographers dedicated to capturing AIDS, including Nan Goldin, Tina Barney, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Larry Sullivan, and Sally Mann.

Each day at noon from November 27 to November 30 the Art Institute will present a speaker whose life and work have been touched by HIV/AIDS. On December 1, World AIDS Day, there will be a panel discussion, film screenings, and a gallery talk. The events are free with museum admission and open to the public. For a complete schedule and more information, call (312) 443-3680 or visit https://www.artic.edu/aic/exhibitions/story/events.html.
