Tutu to be
Honored by IGLHRC

Archbishop Desmond Tutu will address the LGBT community for the first time when he accepts the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission's Outspoken Award at San Francisco's Grace Cathedral on April 8.

The award recognizes the leadership of a global ally whose actions and words have helped advance rights and understanding for LGBT people, according to an IGLHRC press release. Tech giant IBM will also receive a Special Recognition Award for its contributions to the IGLHRC's global mission of building a strong human rights movement and for its leadership in promoting nondiscrimination policies in all of its workplaces in the world.
