Actor T.R. Knight has broken up with Mark Cornelsen, his boyfriend of two years.

Knight, who spoke recently about wanting to adopt a child, asked Cornelsen to leave their shared apartment, according to the New York Daily News'Gatecrasher gossip column, which sourced the news to In Touch Weekly.

“Just weeks after he said he wanted to adopt a child, the former Grey's Anatomy star, 36, reportedly asked 20-year-old Mark Cornelsen to move out of the apartment they shared,” reported Gatecrasher. “‘It just came to a natural end, no hard feelings,’ says a friend. ‘They still care about each other very much.’”

Knight is currently appearing in the musical Parade in Los Angeles, which opens on October 24.
