The LA Gay and Lesbian Center held its 38th annual fund-raising gala on Saturday, and it was a star-studded affair with Chelsea Handler hosting and Wanda Sykes being presented an award by Jay Leno.
Sykes, who received the Center’s Rand Schrader Distinguished Achievement Award, wasn't the only one receiving accolades — drag star and philanthropist Coco Peru was given the Center’s Board of Directors Award, and American Airlines was honored with the Corporate Vision Award in recognition of the airline’s long-standing commitment to LGBT equality. For the first time, the public chose the recipient of the Corporate Vision Award by popular vote.
