The ABC series Ugly Betty appears to be declining in ratings, thanks to its move to a difficult Friday night slot at 9 p.m.
Recent reports show that the series’ ratings sunk this past Friday, compared to the numbers the week before for the show’s season 4 premiere, according to HitFix.
In the 9 p.m. time slot on Friday, Ugly Betty finished third, “with a 3.1/5, dropping more than half-a-million viewers from its premiere last week and dipping to a 1.2 demo,” HitFix reports.
The announcement in May that ABC would move Ugly Betty from Thursdays to Fridays elicited concern that the network was trying to kill the once-dominant series.
