A marine reservist who allegedly beat a priest he believed was a terrorist now says the cleric attempted to sexually assault him in Tampa, Fla. The reservist also maintains a career as a pinup model online.
Lance Cpl. Jasen Bruce is accused of attacking the Reverend Alexios Marakis with a tire iron and chasing him for blocks on Monday evening after Marakis, a Greek Orthodox priest from Crete, asked him for directions.
During the incident, according to WTVT TV Fox Channel 13, Bruce called 911 and said that a terrorist tried to rob him. Later, an attorney for Bruce said that Marakis tried to sexually assault Bruce.
Tampa police charged Bruce with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Meanwhile, WTVT TV found photos of Bruce online. He apparently poses as a model for sites including AllAmericanGuys.com.
