Adam Lambert has a few words for Out magazine editor in chief Aaron Hicklin, in the form of a pair of tweets.
Lambert appears with Cyndi Lauper and Wanda Sykes, among others, on the cover of this year’s Out 100 issue. In his Editor’s Letter, Hicklin writes that Lambert’s management turned down solo cover requests from Out because his reps felt the magazine was too gay.
In his response to Hicklin’s letter, Lambert tweets, “Dear Aaron, it's def not that deep. Chill! Guess ya gotta get attention for the magazine. U too are at the mercy of the marketing machine.”
He continues in a second tweet: “(cont.) Until we have a meaningful conversation, perhaps you should refrain from projecting your publications' agenda onto my career.”
Out is owned by the same parent company as The Advocate.
