The Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Community Center of Central Florida was one of two Orlando-area gay establishments vandalized with antigay messages and symbols on Sunday night.
The Center, as the institution is known, and a nearby gay-owned business were spray painted with a swastika, and phrases such as “gay power,” “die fags,” and “go to hell,” according to WKMG-TV.
Damages were estimated at over $1,000. The Center stepped up its fund-raising efforts to help purchase and install security cameras in the wake of the vandalism.
