Jon Stewart worries that Will Phillips, the 10-year-old Arkansas boy who refuses to recite the Pledge of Allegiance at school until LGBT people have full equality, could need some protection from bullies. Last night on The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, he proposed that professional wrestler Mick Foley provide security for the youngster.
Foley, identified as the “senior ass-kicker,” promised to come to the rescue of Phillips, if need be, with his burly buddies.
“I and perhaps a few of my friends will come to his school and bring a world of pain,” said Foley.
In his "Gaywatch" segment, Stewart also looked at the case of Peter Vidala, the 24-year-old from Boston who claims he was fired because he told a coworker that he opposed her pending marriage to another woman.
